The City Council of Pamplona is coordinating an innovative initiative aiming two key challenges that both this city and in general european urban areas face. Firstly, cities are running out of space to grow in terms of newly constructions while plenty of buildings built with outdated uses are abandoned. Secondly, the surrounding areas are usually left out, becoming areas with low economic interest and with social challenges to tackle. The solution aims at recovering an abandoned building with cultural heritage (local convent) to dinamize the surrounding area and give a space to an emerging industry in Navarra such as the creative and digital. In addition to this, the project will bring to the table an innovative process in the rehabilitation of cultural valued buildings by using industrialized rehabilitation process with recycled materials, removing therefore the carbon footprint attached to the state of the art process with less time and cost. The project represents a pilot of new ways of rehabilitating abandoned buildings and dinamizing the surrounding areas by including in the rehabilitation process not only the building itself but also the people and agents affected in the process. Â
In that sense, we are looking for Transfer Partners that could be interested in replicate the results obtained in our project. To that aim we have created a form to express your interest in participating in our consortium:Â https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1es26n1TmhbgwaL8HPgB_HpBjqR2WqOP6VZpJWAI9iSg/edit?pli=1
