Kolding Municipality has a strong design profile (part of the UNESCO Creative Cities network) and we have a lot to offer to a partnership. We are ambitious in city planning, have a climate plan in place (aiming for a 70 % cut in emissions by 2030) and are experienced in citizen engagement. Since 2017, we have been an active part of the UNESCO Creative Cities network and we are proud to be a UNESCO Creative City of Design. We are experienced in applying design methods in city planning.
We are very motivated for learning from good practices in other cities in relation to greening and climate adaptation.Â
We have several local greening projects that - depending on your project's scope - can be involved in an EUI project. One example is the need to apply green and blue infrastructure of the local street LÃ¥sbygade and to totally change the mobility setup, whilst engaging citizens and businesses and, if relevant, the neighboring rehabilitation centre. Another aspect is how to apply greening on heritage city infrastructure or how to re-explore and make use of our city water course.
We have the political support and the strategic framework, namely our recently ratified Mobility Plan and Climate Action Plan, in place to back-up a participation.Â
